Mark Sullivan

Mark Sullivan was hired as the City’s first Director of Community and Economic Development in 1999 and, through some changes to the position, now serves as the City’s Economic Development Coordinator. Prior to coming to the City, Mr. Sullivan worked for Ingham County working with six different communities focusing on industrial park development and tax increment financing.

Since 1999, Mr. Sullivan has helped Grand Ledge get its industrial park on line as a State Certified Industrial Park and worked to establish four businesses in the park. In our downtown, he has overseen the reconstruction of several parking lots, improvements to numerous buildings and the implementation of the City’s facade improvement grant program.

Mr. Sullivan has been awarded the annual “Industrial Development Award” from CSX Railroad in 2003 for his work in locating the Lowe’s Reloading Facility in the industrial park, and the Regional Economic Development Team annual “Individual Excellence in Regional Cooperation” award in 2004.

Mark received an Associates Degree in Accounting from Lansing Community College, a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Connecticut, and a Master of Arts from Michigan State University.
