Chuck Remenar was appointed as the City Treasurer/Finance Director in July, 2004. He previously worked for the City of Lansing Finance Department for twenty-four years and served in the United States Navy for four years. Mr. Remenar has a bachelor’s degree in financial administration from Michigan State University.
The City Treasurer/Finance Director coordinates and performs the financial accounting and treasury functions of the City of Grand Ledge. The City Treasurer/Finance Director also ensures accurate accounting of all City fund, monitors expenditures, collects taxes and other receivables, administers accounts payable, payroll, and employee benefits, and oversees debt issuance and repayment.
