The Election Commission appoints the Board of Election Inspectors for each precinct, sets precinct boundaries and polling locations, and tests the voting machines used in all elections in the city.
It is a three member board made up of the City Clerk, the City Attorney, and one Mayor-appointed Council member who is not a candidate for elective office at the election for which they serve as a member of the Commission. The Commission meets as needed before each election in the City, in the Council chambers, City Hall, 200 E. Jefferson St.
