Abrams Municipal Airport Advisory Commission

The Abrams Municipal Airport Advisory Commission oversees the operations and management of, and improvements to, Abrams Municipal Airport.

It is an eleven member board representing the City, Eagle Township and the Michigan National Guard.  The Mayor appoints nine members to the Commission for three-year terms expiring the second Monday in January.  One of these nine members must be a representative of the Michigan National Guard, as long as the Michigan National Guard is a major user of Abrams Municipal Airport.  The Eagle Township Board of Trustees appoints the remaining two members, as long as the “City of Grand Ledge / Eagle Township Contract For Conditional Transfer Of Property 1984 PA 425,” dated February 14, 2000, remains in effect.  An additional ex-officio member is appointed by the Mayor for a one-year term expiring 31 December. The Commission regularly meets at least every quarter at the Abrams Municipal Airport terminal building, 16815 Wright Rd.
